Rotary Club of Panauti respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
This website, rotary-panauti.org.np, is run by Rotary Club of Panauti, Panauti, Kavrepalanchok, Bagmati Province, Nepal. We are a member club of Rotary International, District 3292. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Rotary Club of Panauti.
What we collect
You can read this website without giving us any personal information. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
- Server logs. Like every website, our hosting server automatically records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.
- Comments. If you leave a comment on a news post, we store the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never published. You can ask us to remove a comment at any time.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, for example through our Facebook page or at a club meeting, we use what you share only to reply to you and, if you ask, to help you get involved with the club.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name and email in a cookie so you do not have to type them again; this cookie lasts one year. Club members who log in to edit the website receive login cookies that are needed for that purpose only.
Services from other websites
- Google Fonts. The text on this site uses the Open Sans typeface from Google Fonts. To display it, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Links to other sites. We link to our Facebook page, Rotary International and other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and their rules apply once you visit them.
- Embedded content. Some news posts may include videos or other content from other websites. This content behaves as if you had visited that website directly, and that website may collect information about you.
How long we keep information
Comments are kept until the post is removed or you ask us to delete them. Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and to maintain club records. Server logs are removed automatically by our hosting provider.
Your rights
In line with the right to privacy under the laws of Nepal, including the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some information where the law requires it.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
